Bedroom Revamp!

Hello my lovelies! Today I have a 'home' type post for you!

Recently me and Daryl decided that we no longer liked our bedroom the way it was and decided when the weather was nice we would re-decorate. Luckily we had a weekend where the weather held out and that meant we could get our paint brushes out!

We decided to go for a much brighter colour scheme than our red room. We went for magnolia and some sort of wall paper. We decided on the wall paper when we saw it, we had no idea what we wanted and just went to look at what was available! Once we found our 'feature' wall paper it was straight over to the lining paper. I don't know about you but there was no way I was going to try and paint over dark red with magnolia. So my mum suggested lining the wall with paper, then painting over it. Since lining paper is only £2.00 a roll for Wilkinson we thought it would be much cheaper than buying pots and pots of paint!

Below are pictures of before and after. I have only taken pictures of the 'Nursery area' and my vanity area because personally I think a couples bedroom should be kept private.

This is the 'Nursery Area' where my little man will eventually be. As you can see it was quite a dark colour and wasn't very 'young'.

This is the before of my vanity table area. As you can tell its next to the nursery area which I like because when I'm getting ready in the mornings I can put my little man in his crib and talk to him while getting on.

Here we have the feature wall paper. We went for a 'cool blue' theme and are accessorising with green and pink things to add some extra colour to the room.

Last but not least, this is how the nursery area is looking now. I think it looks so much better and brighter. We added a shelf above to we could add little bits and bobs to give it that nursery vibe. Also I replace the 'LOVE' canvas with a picture Keira has painted for me back when she was in nursery. I always loved that picture so much and couldn't wait to frame it and hang it.

That is all  for this post! I hope you enjoyed reading it! Until next time my lovelies!

Fashion and Random Haul

Hello again my lovelies! Today I have a fashion haul for you. I actually got this stuff last Bank Holiday but I've been so ill that I haven't had time to write it all up along with the pictures! Let's jump straight into in shall we!?

Firstly I discovered a love for maxi dresses since my little man is ever growing and wearing bands around the tummy is a bit more uncomfortable than not. So I decided I was going to get a few to give me options in the summer! Plus maxi dresses are great to have even when you're not growing a human in your tummy!

I picked up this animal print maxi for just £10 from Primark. I normally buy plain dresses as you can mix and match stuff more easily but I saw this and really liked it. There's no fancy fitting, it's just straight up and down which is perfect while I don't really have a shape to show off. Unless you count round, ha. I also got two more maxi dresses but they haven't arrived yet as they were only ordered a couple days ago but I do have the link for them as they were off Ebay! I got a plain black one and a royal blue one. Also they were only £4.99 each! Here is the link if you want to take a peak!

Next I decided as the weather is getting warmer I needed to start investing in some 'Summer Nightwear'. I normally save stuff from the previous year but as I'm going to be bigger this summer I guessed it was best to get some in a bigger size! I picked up these cute little short for only £3.00 in Primark. The material is nice a thin and light fabric, which also means it doesn't give you that awkward wedgie! I liked the simple pattern too as I normally go for 'funky' prints but decided to go a different route this time!

I then went upstair to the accessories and had a nice little mooch about! I picked up this cute sun hat as Daryl had recently bought Keira a very similar one apart from Keira's has tiger print on it. I thought it was so adorable and would be good for those long afternoons in the summer holidays when me and Keira to up to my mums garden to sunbathe and play in the paddling pool! Also I saw a popular item that has been floating around YouTube hauls lately. This backcomb brush is a bargain at only £1.00. So I thought what the heck and decided to get one for my hair brush collection! Oops forgot to say, the sun hat was £4.00.

While mooching around the hair items I came across these cute hair bands with bows on top. They are the one's with wire in the bows and I personally like them. I find them much easier to style with the wire holding them in place! Since these were only £1.50 I decided to get two of them. Can never go wrong when you have options ey girlies!

Last but not least I went into the 99p shop. I came across these cute pastel little plant pots and thought they would make perfect make up brush holders! Who needs a garden when you have a vanity? Ha.

I hope you enjoyed this little haul. Please let me know if there is anything else you want to see on my blog in future! Until next time my lovelies!

It's A...........

Hello my lovelies! Today I have a 'life' type post for you. Yesterday me and Daryl went to our 20 week scan and found out the sex of our little bubba!

At first we honestly thought that we wouldn't get to find out because Bubba was lying really awkwardly and the ultrasound technician couldn't take measurements or check what she needed to. We got sent out to walk around the corridors for a while and generally 'giggle' about to try and make bubba turn around.

When we managed to go in a second time Bubba was finally the right way around and we could get started! We were so happy to hear that everything was good with Bubba. We waited until the end to ask about the sex because I'd rather know everything is well first! After we got the OK we got told the sex of our little Bubba!

ITS A BOY!

Yep, I'm going to be a lucky mummy and have one of each! Keira was thrilled to hear the news, especially now we can stop saying 'it' and 'Bubba' and actually use a proper name. We decided on a name a few years ago, we always knew we wanted children but had to wait until we were more financially stable. So without further rambling our little man Jonathan Jake will be due around the 5th October and we can't wait to meet him. Needless to say I have plenty of baby shopping to do now that we know we have a little man on the way!

I will be back to normal blogging from now on :) I'm thinking of writing up a few blog posts to keep in reserve incase life gets too busy to have time to blog for a few days so there isn't so much of a gap next time!

Until next time my lovelies!

A mini break.

Hello my lovelies. As you can tell I haven't blogged for a week now. I'm sorry about that but I have a good reason, promise :). I have had a little bit of a rough week with my pregnancy, been put on some medicine (which I have now finished) and dealt with the side effects. It wasn't anything serious so don't be worried, me and Bubba are both fine and dandy! :D

I wasn't really sure what to write with this post so I thought I would give you a list of blogs I have been reading while I've been poorly and really enjoyed :).

If you're looking for some new blogs to read then I recommend any of these lovely ladies! I promise I will be back to blogging regularly next week, unfortunately these things can't be help with pregnancy.

Until next time my lovelies!

Keira's Closet Haul!

Hello my lovelies! Today I have a little haul of clothing for my little Bubbles. (For those of you who don't know Bubbles is Keira's nickname, it was given to her after her obsession with bubble bath). Since she will be turning 5 soon and the weather is changing its time to give her wardrobe a little bit of an update! Some of the clothes were bought by my Sister and some buy my parents. So let's get into it shall we!

First up with have a lovely summer dress from H&M. This was only £2.99 which is a great price considering she'll only wear it during the Summer months and its a 4-6 years so will last for two Summer as well!

Next we have another Summer dress from H&M for £2.99. I love the little ladybirds on this dress. I may have to get a few more of these just because they are so affordable and very well made!

This next top I got from Tesco! It was £7.00. I thought this top was so cute and it's very 'Keira' style. She loves her top/legging combo outfits and with the lower arm holes I thought it would be lovely for Summer!

Also from Tesco I got these leggings. They were £6 for a 2 pack. I thought this was a bargain because previous Tesco leggings I have bought have lasted ages. They're almost child proof! Not to mention they go perfectly with the top above!

From Primark she got a little swimming costume. It was only £2.50 and the nautical theme is bang on trend, even for 4/5 year olds ;)

Last but not least, my Dad is a Tottenham Hotspur fan and likes to mooch about in the Spurs store. He came home after seeing a match one day with this cute little dress for Keira. I don't know how much it cost as it was a gift but I think its lovely :) .

I hope you enjoyed Keira's first clothing haul on here. Hopefully I'll have another one for you soon.
Until next time my lovelies!

Beauty Haul #2

Hello my lovelies! Today I have another beauty haul for you, its only small but hey ho!

I took advantage of boots 3 for £5 offer on Natural Collection products. Like I have said in previous post, I am trying to get more into wearing lipsticks and decided to get a couple more neutral colours. I also got some tinted moisturiser since the weather is starting to heat up and a full face of foundation won't last long when the heat turns up! I got it in the shade 'Natural' which I think is the palest shade and should match my pasty skin pretty well!

I also saw that Miss Sporty has an offer on their nail varnishes. I got both of these for £3. Unfortunately Miss Sporty doesn't seem to name its colours so I can't tell you which ones I got! However next time you're in Boots have a look and see if there are any that take your fancy!

Here are the swatches from the lipsticks I picked. I like the look of Pink Mallow, I think its a very wearable colour for someone who isn't overly comfortable with a bold lip. I also got Rose Petal as I've heard a lot of Beauty Guru's rave about it so I figured it couldn't be too scary, ha.

Thanks for reading and until next time my lovelies!

LUSH Review- Ickle Baby Bot

Hello my lovelies! Today I have a LUSH review for you! It will be on the Ickle Baby Bot which, I think, is an all year round bath bomb. It costs £1.90 and I love it! I love the soothing smell and always throw one of these babies into the bath if I'm going to bed soon after. Not to mention the beautiful blue lagoon colour the bath water turns. Me and Keira often share a bath and she always asks to use LUSH bath bombs. They make bath time that bit more fun and you both come out smelling lovely!

Excuse the colour of the one on the left, I've had that one for a while so decided to use two of them :)

Blue Lagoon loveliness! Woo hoo :)

NOTD #2- Outdoor Girl - Green

Hello my lovelies! Today I have another NOTD for you!

I never used to be a fan of green but lately I seem to be buying a lot of different coloured green nail varnishes. I picked up this particular one from Poundland! I'd never seen these in there before let alone heard of 'Outdoor Girl' nail varnish. However this green colour had such a nice golden shimmer to it I fell in love and for £1 who would say no?!

Let me know if you have seen any 'Outdoor Girl' cosmetics anywhere. I'd be interested to try them out. If they end up being just a random name from Poundland then I'm ok with that too, ha.

Until next time my lovelies!
