Childrens Haul

A little while ago, when I was in my 'blog break' I got the kiddies a few new pieces for their wardrobes. So in good blogger style I decided to take pictures and stash them away for when I decided to return to my blog!

I got Keira these lovely pink canvas velcro shoes from Tesco for only £6.00. I like the fact that they will be easy to put on for her and they will be nice to wear now the weather is getting a tad warmer and she doesn't need to live in her boots anymore.

I also picked her up a new pair on slipper from Tesco for £3.00. Keira likes to play with her friend that lives across the hall so I thought it was a good idea for her to have some nice indoor footwear that she can wear while running back and forth between our homes. Plus I love the fact they're purple and fluffy. I wouldn't mind a pair myself actually!

For my little man I started to buy stuff for his 6-9 and 9-12 month wardrobe. I bought him the grey 'sport' pair of shorts in 6-12 months which will cover the whole of summer. I also bought him two pairs of the same swimming shorts but in different sizes (£5.00). I thought these would be great for everyday wear in the summer for him as well! He also got this cute little pirate long sleeved t-shirt in 6-9 months (£3.00). This is for those rainy days when its not quite warm enough for short sleeves but too hot for jumpers. They're all from Tesco.

Daryl found this cute little 'Thing One and Thing Two' set in T K Maxx (£9.99) for Jay. It will make a lovely little spring outfit for him! I'm looking forward to changing over his wardrobe next month! From Tesco again I got him two packs of dribble bibs for £3.00 per pack. An 'I Love Mummy' vest for £1.50 and an 'I Love Mummy, I Love Daddy' vest for £1.50. Last but not least I picked up a pack of short sleeved vests with vehicles on for £6.00. Can't ever have too many vests!

So that is it for my little haul from a while ago. I'm looking forward to shopping for my kids in the warmer weather. Hopefully the weather will be nice and warm like last year!

TMI TAG!

What are you wearing? 3/4 length jeans from Select Fashion. A rose patterned vest from Boohoo.com and a grey and white stripped cardigan from Jane Norman!
Ever been in love? Yes. Mr Clarke of course!
Ever had a terrible breakup? Ugh, don't even go there! But seriously, yes I have.
How tall are you? Around 5ft 8 ish. I haven't measured my height in years, I may have shrunk!
How much do you weigh? Currently at 11st 5lb. Getting there slowly with my diet! Dropped a jean size too!
Any tattoos? Yes. Currently I only have the one but I will soon be adding another for my little man. It is just below my neck, along my spine. I will put a picture below for you!

Any piercings? Just ears, I did have my belly button done too but decided to take it out because of being pregnant.
OTP? I love the idea of people finding true love and love it when people like the fact they're in love. I think when it comes to 'celebrity relationships' my OTP would be Beyonce and Jay Z. I love how their relationship is between them and only them, just the way it should be!
Favourite show? I have a few at the moment! The Big Bang Theory, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Celebrity Juice. Im not really into 'soaps' anymore as I find them to be a little repetitive!
Something you miss? I miss 'being normal'. I've suffered with anxiety and depression which affects me daily. Feeling sick and worried is a normal feeling for me, I'd love to go out for a meal and not have to worry about feeling sick all the way through it.
Favourite song? I don't really have one. I like all different types of music so have one in particular is hard for me. I must say I am liking Avenged Sevenfold's new stuff but at the same time I find myself buying more and more singles from Katy Perry's new album too. When it comes to music I'm a free spirit,ha.
Zodiac sign? Libra
Quality you look for in a partner? Someone loyal and who is big on family. I love my family and definitely wouldn't choose a partner before them.
Favourite Quote? "Carpe Diem". It basically means seize the day. Dealing with anxiety problems means you sometime struggle to do everyday tasks outside of the house but if I went back to that I would have no life again. So I push myself to go out and seize the day even if I'm not totally feeling up to it.
Favourite actor/actress Johnny Depp and Jennifer Aniston.
Favourite color?  Lilac.
Loud music or soft? Depends on the situation!
Where do you go when you're sad? To my bed. There is something very comforting about hiding in my bedroom on my comfortable bed.
How long does it take you to shower? 10-30 mins. Depends if I'm washing my hair or shaving my legs or exfoliating.
How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? 10 mins. I don't wear makeup everyday so normally its a case of getting dressed, having a quick wash and brushing my hair.
Ever been in a physical fight? Nope, I don't ever want too. If people have a problem with each other then just pretend they don't exist. Why give them the time and attention for a fight?
The reason I started blogging? I love reading and writing. I always considered writing my own book and kept putting it off because I lacked the confidence. So I decided to take up blogging to learn new skills in writing and engaging with the readers.
Fears? Something happening to my children.
Last thing that made you cry? I had a bad dream that I was dying and was on my death bed having to say goodbye to my children and partner. It was horrible!
Last time you said you loved someone? Today, say it to my kids all the time.
Meaning behind your Blog Name? Mumma Bubbles is basically something that was made up from my daughter's nickname. Me and my partner call her Bubbles after her love of bubble bath. So since I'm her 'Mumma' that kind of makes me 'Mumms Bubbles'? It made more sense in my head!
Last book you read? The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks.
The book you’re currently reading? Currently reading Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks.
Last TV show you watched? Friends!
Last person you talked to? Mr Clarke.
The relationship between you and the person you last texted? My Dad.
Favourite food? Crisps. I've had an obsession with them since I was little!
Place you want to visit? California, America. I've always wanted to go to America and I think Cali is the best place to start.
Last place you were? At the park with the kiddies.
Do you have a crush? No.
Last time you were insulted? My partner told me my trousers were too baggy and I should buy a belt, does that count?
Favourite flavour of sweet? Maltesers, I know its not a flavour but oh well!
What instruments do you play? I used to play guitar.
Favourite piece of jewellery? My engagement ring.
Last sport you played? I kicked a football around at the park with Keira. I consider that a sport lol.
Last song you sang? Aerosmith- Dude looks like a lady.
Favourite chat up line? "I'm a Love Pirate, and I'm here for your booty! ARRRGGGHHH!!!"
Last time you hung out with anyone? My mum came around yesterday.
Who should answer these questions next? Anyone! If you read this and feel like doing this too then do it! Tweet me if you do @bethanymay_xx

First trip to the park!

Last Sunday me, Daryl, Keira and Jay went to the park to play and feed the ducks. This time was special because it was my little man's first trip to the park! Its a lovely milestone to remember, I still have the pictures of Keira's first trip to the park. As expected it was very busy because of the weather. Keira got stuck right in and was off before we had barely got in. Jay was a little bit shocked by what was happening. He hasn't started any playgroups yet so this was the first time he had seen a lot of other children. He settled down fairly quickly though, stuck to either Mummy's or Daddy's side, safest place to be right?

After a little while the baby swings became free and I pounced on the opportunity to grab one. I had packed a few blankets to take down with me as I knew Jay would need a little bit of padding on the swings as he can't sit up by himself yet. And that was it. Once he started swinging he was smiling his big gummy smile and having a lovely time. Not long after he got out he went on the big swings with Daddy, although he didn't seem to be having as much fun as the other swings he still looked like he was enjoying it!

Once we finished at the park we walked to the canal at the bottom of the field and started feeding the birds. We were hoping for ducks but instead we had geese and swans (which scare me a little). Jay watched happily from the side with Daddy while me and Keira threw bread in for the birds.

It was a lovely Spring morning, some proper family time just the four of us. I hope now the weather is getting better we can keep doing nice little outings like this! Lets hope the british Spring/Summer are good ones this year.

Home Haul

Recently I went shopping to Dunelm Mill with my Mum to look for some new bits and bobs for the house. I didn't really have anything in mind when I went in there apart from the fact I needed a new rug and just fancied some new things for the house.

Firstly I found these candles for only 99p each! Not only do they match my living room decor perfectly but they smell amazing. The scent is Pomegranate and Cacao. It smells nice and sweet, I think it will make a lovely Spring/Summer scent.

I saw this little plaque and thought it was really sweet. Its true that the simple things in life are normally the best! Especially a nice long hot soak in the tub ;). This cute sign was only £1.99 so I found it really hard to pass up. On another plus its not 'girly' which means its hubby approved too. Score!

For some reason I ended up in the stationary section and Im glad I did. This pen pot was only £1.99. I couldn't help but think it would make an excellent make up brush holder. That is exactly what it is doing now, personally when I bought it I thought it might be a little but small to hold all my brushes however to my surprise I still have some spare room! Might just have to get a few more make up brushes ;).

I found my rug! This is the Slumber rug in purple. I must say I can tell you exactly why it is called the Slumber rug! It is so soft you could easily sleep on it! I wouldn't recommend it as it wouldn't support your back but when it comes to softness, heck yeah! This is the small version which is actually a lot longer than I thought it would be which is perfect for the area I wanted it for. This rug was £49.99. The largest size you can get is £129.99 and would probably cover your entire living room floor so if you're looking into carpets in a rented home, maybe consider one of these softies first?

Lastly I spotted this little chest. I'm not sure why it caught my eye but I knew as soon as I saw it that I NEEDED it. I had been looking for a neat way to store my bracelets for a while and this was just what I needed. The colours go with my bedroom colour scheme perfectly and sits on my shelf nicely. With a price tag of £7.99 it couldn't have been any better.

That's all I got for my little home haul. I love getting bits and bobs to update my home with. Especially with the changing decor. Have you done any 'home shopping' recently? I would love to read your posts as I'm a nosey beggar. Leave the link in the comments below or tweet it to me @bethanymay_xx

Welcome Back!

As you may have noticed over the past 6 weeks I have been MIA from my blog. I have no excuse other than I didn't like my blog.

I didn't like the layout. I didn't like the colours. I didn't like the theme.

So over the past 6 weeks I have been designing and redesigning my blog over and over again until I became happy with it. I mean, if I didn't like it how could I expect others to like it either? I've also decided that although the blog itself will remain 'Mumma Bubbles' I will be signing off as 'Bethany May'. This is because I'm a mummy of two now and didn't want to just go by one childs nickname anymore. Keira is still my Bubbles after all so what does it matter what a blog says right?

I've also been working on a lot of blog posts for you all too! So lets get this new blog started! See you real soon!
