Keira's 5th Birthday!

Hey guys!

Yesterday my little angel turned 5 years old! Where has the time gone! I thought I would post a few of my favourite pictures I took. It's always nice to be able to look back on pictures like this a few months down the line!

We went to Clacton-on-Sea in Essex. We go here every year and we love it. It has a sandy beach and a pier full of fun stuff for everyone to do! It's easy to say that we were all knackered by the time we got home. It was well worth it though as Keira told me it was her best birthday ever!

Keira and her Daddy playing on the pier on the cars.
Keira in her The Simpsons bus about to start the ride!

Keira building sand castles!
Keira in the hole she and her Daddy dug.

Until next time my lovelies!

OOTD #1 - Feeling Floral!

Hello my lovelies!

Today I have an OOTD for you. This is the first one I have done on my blog and I must say I'm a little nervous about it. Starting doing OOTD's at 30 weeks pregnant probably isn't the best idea but hey ho! I'm going to start anyway!

With the heat lately dressing for a big baby bump has not been easy! I've mostly been living in night dresses and throwing on a vest and short when I have to go out purely for comfort! However I do have my day where I decide feeling like a beached whale won't get me down and go through my lovely choice of maternity options!

Funnily enough what I chose to wear today isn't from an maternity range but it is very popular with pregnant woman, as far as I know anyway!

Maxi Dress- Charity Shop (tag says from New Look)- £3.50
Necklace 'B' pendant- Warren James - £9.99
Necklace 'Mum' pendant- Argos - £9.99 (at the time I purchased it, price may be different now)
Travel Sickness Bracelet- Ebay - £?.?? sorry I can't remember I've had it so long!
Engagement Ring - Daryl - Priceless

I hope you enjoyed my first OOTD. Hopefully I'll have the confidence to do many more for you! Feel free to leave comments or talk to me via Twitter  @bethanymay_xx

Until next time my lovelies!

I Heart Summer Tag!

Hey lovelies! How are you all doing? If you're from the UK you'll probably be sitting in front of a fan reading this right now! How crazy has this weather been the past couple of weeks? The summer really is starting for us so I thought I would do the I heart Summer Tag! I will try and link as many products as possible in the answers!

1. Favorite bronzer for summer?

The best bronzer I have found so far this Summer is the Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades Way to Go bronzer! I love the fact there are 4 different shades to use on the same block. It is the perfect bronzer to have if you are going on holiday or just generally enjoying tanning yourself in the garden! With the choice of shades to use it will go with your skin tanned or not! With a price tag of £4.19 you can't really go wrong!

2. You're relaxing in a hammock, on a tropical island. What are you sipping on? (Favorite summer drink)

I'm quite boring when it comes to keeping cool with a drink and will happily sip on Ice Water all day, however, in the name of not being a boring berty i'll give my second favourite too. Not that it is too much more exciting but I love Diet, Sugar free lemonade. I can't handle caffeine or too much sugar as my stomach is extremely sensitive but thorw some ice in a glass and fill it up with some Diet Lemonade and i'll be one happy girly relaxing in a hammock, ha.

3. Favorite summer lip product?

Easy! Without a doubt my favourite lip product has to be Nivea Essential Care Lip Balms! They have such a great range to chose from. With the weather being so hot lately dehydration happens a lot faster than we are used too. Let's face it once we need a drink our lips are normally one of the first to dry out and start to crack. I find that these lip balms are perfect for fighting against the sun and make your lips feel fabulous.

4. Pool or Beach?

This is a hard one to choose. I love the pool. It's simple, no fish, no seaweed and not too much worrying about people being swept away by the tide! However my little girls absolutely loves the seaside! We are actually going next Sunday as its her birthday and its what she has asked to do. So personally I prefer the pool but I think I'll go with the beach for this one purely because I love seeing my little girl so happy.

5. Summer = crazy hair! What's your must-have styling product?

I try not to wash my hair too much during the Summer as you sweat more and I find that you're forever washing your hair! So whenever I decide to take on the task of washing my hair I giving it some extra love by using L'oreal Elvive Triple Resist Reinforcing Treatment. This treatment instantly brings my hair back to life and give it back some strength. It's no good for your hair to have it up in a bun or pony tail every day but who wants hair flapping around their face in the heat? I certainly don't. So by using this treatment I find I can get away with being a little naughty with my hair.

6. Sun bathing or fake tan?

I can honestly say I have never used fake tan. I just don't like the look or smell of it. If I have a tan naturally then great! But normally i'm happy walking around like a ghost.

7. Favorite summer nail polish?

To be totally honest with you I don't have a favourite! There isn't a colour that I want to wear over and over. However I have been loving the Collection Hot Look Nails collection! They have so many different shades that I'd love to get my hands on and wear. For £1.99 each I don't think that will be a problem! They also claim to dry in 60 seconds which is always good when you have kiddies running around and need to paint them quickly! I can't honestly tell you if they do dry in 60 seconds as I've never sat down and timed it but when I have use them, they never take too long to dry! Woo hoo!

8. Any summer traditions?

The seaside! We live in a small town outside of London and have no coast near us. So every year when my Dad would get time off work we would always plan a day to go to the seaside. Even now that I don't live at home we still go every year. As I said a little way back, we are going next Sunday as its my daughters birthday and I couldn't be more excited. I just won't be venturing too far into the water. Incase you couldn't tell by the 'Pool or Beach' question I'm not really that confident at all when it comes to the sea!

9. Favorite summer scent?

Natural Collection Wild Strawberry body spray! I love this scent! I actually use it to spray on my bed sheets as well as my clothes! I love the smell of fresh fruits. It gives off such a lovely summery vibe and its not too over powering. My partner isn't a fan of strong perfumes but he's never complained of this body spray so far so that would be a win in my eyes!

10. Favorite BBQ food?

I admit it. I'm a burger girl. I love hot dogs don't get me wrong but there is nothing better that a nice meaty bap! I'm not fussy if its lamb, pork, beef or chicken but it has to be in burger form! First runner up would have to be a good pasta salad! Got to look lady like some of the time right? Ha.

11. What's your favorite summer-proof product?

For my 'summer-proof product' I have decided to go with Beach Matt Texturizing Spray. I find that it styles your hair perfectly for the messy/beachy look and it seems heat proof. No matter how hot I have gotten over the last couple of weeks i've found that when I have sprayed this into my pony tail for some extra style/ volume it has held well. Heat styling really isn't working for me at the moment so if the messy/beach look is going to hold then it is going to be my look for the summer.

12. Any summer vacation plans this year? No plans? Tell us about your dream summer trip!

This year we haven't got any big plans. What with Daryl working and little man on the way we need to stay close to home. I have got a baby shower planned in August which I am looking forward too. I just hope the heat calms down a bit by then! Wouldn't want to pass out at my own baby shower, talk about making a scene! I think mainly this summer will be about spending quality time with Keira since its going to be the last one just the two of us!

I hope you have enjoyed reading this post! Feel free to do the tag yourself and leave me the link below! Or you can tweet me your link @bethanymay_xx . Until next time my lovelies!

NOTD #4 - Lemon Soda

Hey guys! I have a quick NOTD post for you today! I hope you have been enjoying the lovely weather in England lately! Let's hope it lasts for when the kiddies finish school!

Today I am wearing Collection 2000, or now know as Collection, Lemon Soda nail varnish! I love this colour. It really fits in with the pastel trend and goes really well when you have a nice tan!

Please excuse the bad paint job, this was my left hand (I'm left handed) and can only seem to take pictures with my right hand so looks a little rough around the edges! Nonetheless the colour is so vibrant and a really Summery colour, guaranteed to spice up any summer dress!

I particularly love this nail varnish because it only took one coat to be opaque! Some people prefer to do two coats regardless but if it covers well enough I'm happy with one!

Until next time my lovelies!

L'oreal Elvive - Damage Care Repair Shampoo and Conditioner Review!

Hello my loves! Phew, that was a long title for a blog post! As you can tell from said long title today I am going to be giving you my personal opinion on the L'oreal Elvive Damage Care Repair Shampoo and Conditioner!

I have used it all up and I must say it lasted a long time! Much longer than others I have used, plus I have semi- long hair, which normally means I use a lot with every hair wash!
The smell was lovely, I wouldn't say it had a scent to it, as in not coconut or strawberry but it has a lovely clean smell to it which will leave you smelling your hair, without realising normally, ha.
Anyway onto the main 'component'. Damage Repair. I've not been blogging very long but I have, over the years, had every hair colour under the sun. This means a lot of dying and stripping and bleaching! Needless to say my hair is in need of a lot of TLC even without dying it since November your hair takes a long time to repair. I was completely surprised to find that the amount of 'fall out' when washing, brushing and styling my hair had greatly reduced after using this product for around the 3rd time! It isn't an instant fix, you will have to use it a few times before you notice a difference. Considering this is a shampoo/ conditioner duo and not a hair oil I was very happy!

So if you are like me and get a bit hair colour happy and need to help bring your hair back from the dead then I would highly recommend this duo! Obviously if your hair is seriously damaged you will need extra care such as hair oils/ strengthening products. I personally would never rely solely on a shampoo/ conditioner to fix my hair but the using right stuff will definitely help the healing process!

That is all for today my lovelies! If you have anything you want to know or for me to blog about feel free to leave me a comment or tweet me @bethanymay_xx

Until next time my lovelies!
