NOTD #3 - Aztec Coral

Hello my lovelies! Today I have a Summer friendly NOTD for you!

I love wearing bright colours in the Summer, they just help an outfit 'pop'. I like looking through Instagram at the NOTD post and saw some lovely ideas and came across quite a few different looks focusing on the 'accent' nail. So naturally I have tried to do something similar with what I had in my nail kit!

This is how they turned out!

To do this I picked a bright coloured nail varnish and painted all my nails as you normally would but skipped the 'accent' nail. Once my other nails had fully dried I took out my Nail Wraps that I had purchased a while ago from Primark for only £1. I'm 99% sure that you can still pick up nail wraps from Primark. I applied the wraps to my 'accent' nail and filed off the spare 'wrap'. After I had applied each I held the wrap on my finger for about a minute just to be extra sure that it was stuck down properly. Once I had done both 'accent' nails I applied a top coat over all of my nails just so they last that little bit longer!

I hoped you enjoyed reading this post, please let me know if there is anything else you might want to see! You can Tweet me @bethanymay_xx with any ideas!

Until next time my lovelies!

My Top 3 Perfumes!

Hello again my lovelies! Today I have a perfume post for you!

I don't know about you but I'm a sucker for a great smelling perfume. So I am going to tell you about my 3 favourite perfumes from my current collection! I don't think any of them are 'new scents' so I would happily say I have enjoyed these beauties for at least 6 months and longer!

My number 1 perfume has to be Christina Aguilera! I have loved this every since I got it for Christmas 3 years ago. (This is my second bottle as I try to use it sparingly). It is a 'grown up' smelling perfume, as in it smells like a womans perfume rather than something like strawberry scented that you might find in a 'younger' smelling perfume.

A very close 2nd place goes to Lacoste: Touch of Pink. This was the first proper perfume I ever had. I honestly still love it to this day! It is a lot of a lighter scent than my number 1 perfume but still as great. As you could probably guess by the name, touch of  pink, it is a very 'girly' fragrance. It is a great summertime perfume in my opinion! I often get compliments when I wear this. It's nice when people don't think you stink, ha!

Last but certainly not least is Sex and the City: By Night. I cannot honestly tell you if this is a well known perfume but I got it in a Christmas gift set from my partner and loved it from the first whiff. It is definitely a night time/ going out perfume. Personally I find it a bit too rich for everyday wear but if we are going out at night or to a special occasion this is normally the perfume I reach for!

That is all for todays post my lovelies! I hope you enjoyed reading it! Until next time!

Time to clear out your home?

Hello my lovelies! If you follow me on Twitter you will know that I have been busy the past couple of weeks decluttering my home. You may not know that me and Daryl live in a 2 bedroom flat. With Keira running round and another on the way we need to make some extra space ASAP!

So I decided that I was going to be totally ruthless with my home and belongings. Donating some to charity, giving some to family and giving some to my sister so she could sell some things at a car boot sale! Either way there are plenty of ways to make sure things go to good homes and I definitely do not want to become a hoarder!

It's a simple task really, although I must admit time consuming! When going through your wardrobe just think, 'when did I last wear this?' or 'when will I be wearing this again?!' Same with shoes. Do you really need 4 pairs of black heels? Do you really want to keep those shoes that you just can't walk in on the off chance you might magically become the master of stilettos?

If you're a mummy, why not tackle the kids room? When was the last time you saw them play with that toy? Do they need 100 McDonalds Happy Meal toys filling up their toy box? Not to mention the wardrobe! How many of you have gone through your childs wardrobe and found clothes that are for children 1 or more sizes smaller?

I personally know a few people that are having financial trouble at the moment and if I can help them out in any way then I will. I just think that if everyone gave away 50% of things that they don't use anymore, obviously you can keep a few things if you love them that much regardless if you use them or not, then charity shops, family members and friends will benefit. Remember 'One mans trash is another mans treasure!'.

So before you go out and decide that its time for some new summer shoes/ clothes, go through what you have a decide what you need/ what you could give away! You'd not only be helping others but when you realise how much more room you have for yourself, you'll be a lot happier. Plus, less stuff = less fuss!

Sorry if this post seems a little bit 'preachy' but I honestly believe in donating and recycling and since I've been on a huge decluttering binge lately I thought I would write about it!

Until next time my lovelies!

Batiste Dry Shampoo: Floral and Flirty Blush Review!

Hello my lovelies! Today I have a beauty review for you. As you can tell by the title it is going to be about Batiste Dry Shampoo. I decided to try out the Blush scented version as I have never tried it before!

Firstly I love the packaging! It would definitely attract my attention in a shop and draw me to look closer.

So I decided to skip my normal hair wash in the shower last night so I could give this beauty a proper test. (I normally wash my hair once every 3 days due to the length and the fact the ends are bleached, so this is 4th day hair, ew). Needless to say I had to hope this was amazing stuff since I do the school run in the morning and defo didn't want to be seen with really dirty hair. So the picture above is the 'before'. Oh so yummy, not.

So I sprayed the dry shampoo all over my roots and flipped my hair to do the underneath and when I flipped it back I was a little surprised to see that my hair looked grey! It was actually quite funny! However once I brushed the product through and gave it a little massage into my hair it went back to my normal colour.

As you can see from the picture above, this product works a treat! It instantly gave my hair a second day look, as in no freshly washed fly aways but still looking fresh. I will definitely be repurchasing this item! The smell is pleasant too! It is floral smelling as the packaging suggests but it isn't overpowering which is a bonus! Anyone looking to try dry shampoo I would definitely recommend Batiste! It's impossible to use wrong and it comes in a range of different scents.

Thanks for reading and until next time my lovelies!
