Beauty Haul!

Hello my lovelies! Today I went shopping with my mum and decided to get myself some new beauty supplies. I didn't have a lot of money spare as you know I'm currently buying Baby stuff as well as whatever Keira may need so a little haul is better than none at all :)

Starting from the left:

4in1 Pedicure Tool- I picked this up randomly from my local 99p shop. I have no idea why I decided to get it today although the thought of Summer shoes being worn soon might of had something to do with it! Ha!

Body Collection Nail Varnish in Coral (square nail varnish bottle) - I picked up this nail varnish for about £1.39 from Body Care. It is a beautiful coral colour with a gold shimmer to it making it the ultimate summer nail varnish (NOTD coming soon!).

Technic Nail Varnish in Mars- I love this colour it is a very fine line between red and pink with a hint of orange to it and I personally think it will make a lovely colour for your toe nails as well as finger nails! Not to mention it was only 99p! This was also from Body Care.

Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose- I love the smell of this lip butter! I can imagine myself giving in and just eating the pot! I've had my eye on this for a while and decided today was a good a day as any so decided to get it!

Tea Tree deep cleansing pore strips- I picked these up in Body Care for only 99p and thought why the hell not :). My skin hasn't been its best lately (thanks hormones!) so I thought a nice skin treatment is in order!

MUA Lipstick in Shade 15 Juicy- I love the look of this lipstick! It's not too bold which is great for me because I'm not really a lipstick person so while I get used to wearing it I thought it was a natural(ish) shade. For £1 how could I complain!

MUA Pro-Brow Eyebrow Kit- I have a confession. This is the first eyebrow kit I have ever owned. I'm really looking forward to testing it out and getting my eyebrow looking their best. I got this from Super Drug for £3.50 and what a bargain for a first time 'Kit' buyer.

MUA Undress Me Too Eye Palette- If you read my 'Wish list' post you will know that I really wanted this palette and I'm really glad I picked it up! The shadows are beautiful colours and can easily create many natural/ everyday looks. This beauty was £4 from Super Drug.

That's all I have for today's haul, I hope you enjoyed it.
Until next time my lovelies!

Weekend Clearout #2

Hello my lovelies! This weekend I decided to tackle the worst room in Castle Clarke, Keira's bedroom. Although its beautifully decorated Keira is not the tidiest of children and makes it look like a dump almost instantly. So I decided enough was enough and dragged everything out of her bedroom and vowed I would only put back the stuff that wasn't junk!

^I wasn't kidding!^

I'm going to do a little before and after type thing but just keep in mind that I still need to buy some shelves for Keira's reading books and i'm looking into some storage boxes for ontop of her wardrobe/ on her desk. I'm also going to get her a lamp that plugs into a timer so when the lamp goes off she knows its time to stop reading a go to sleep :) .

These pictures were taken after I had dragged everything out of the room which is why the floor looks a bit grubby. As you can see from the amount of stuff she has from all the pictures above its almost impossible to keep it tidy when you have a four year old.

While cleaning out her room I threw away 4 black bin bags in total! Thats a lot of junk for such a tiny person. I must admit the amount of McDonalds Happy Meal toys that were floating around her room was ridiculous! It must have been from every Happy Meal she has ever had! After 3 hours of cleaning, hoovering, dusting and organising Keira room is finally taking shape. It's still not done now because it is missing the finishing touches. But here is how it looks now after 4 bags of rubbish have been removed!

^Thinking of folding Keira's pushchair down and putting it in her toy box^
p.s please ignore the books on top of the wardrobe, they'll be moving as soon as I pop into town and get some shelves.
^before I even had a chance to take pictures she had gotten her pop up book out, cheeky moo!^
p.s she normally has a fish tank on her desk but her fish recently died so we are in the middle of cleaning and sterilising the tank so she can get some new ones :) .

And that is it for this messy messy post! As you can tell from the pictures her bedroom is nowhere near done but its a mission of mine to give Keira a lovely room to escape too when being a 'Big Sister' gets a bit too much and she needs some space. I will keep you updated as I do more to her room!

Until next time my lovelies!

A Spring Wish List!

Hello my lovelies! Now that the warmer weather is beginning to grace us with its presents I thought I would do a little 'Spring wish list' for you! Not all the items are necessarily 'springy' but just stuff I have come across lately that I would love to get my hands on!

 1. MUA- Undress Me Too eyeshadow palette would have to be at the top of my list! I wear a lot of naturals/brown shades for a casual, everyday makeup look and I think this palette would go a long way!

2. Barry M- Gelly Nail Polish. These look so nice from all the blog posts I have read. Also I really adore the colours that have come out. A girl can never have too many nail varnishes.

3. Maternity clothes- I love the fact that maternity clothes aren't just the big frumpy things they used to be! I particularly love New Look's range of maternity clothes. This dress is a particular favourite of mine and might just have to join my wardrobe at some point in the future!

4. A new handbag! I have no idea which in particular but the bag I'm using at the minute is starting to fall apart, which sucks because I love my bag! I like big handbags, being a mum having everything from tissues to spare knickers is essential for those little accidents, for the children of course! I assure you I am well potty trained :p Here is a picture of a bag that I found while trolling the internet that gave me a good idea of what I'm looking for!

5. Kate Moss Lipstick, Rimmel London- I'd love to try some lipsticks this year as a bold lip seems to be one of the biggest trends this Spring/Summer. I must say the range of lipsticks from Kate Moss for Rimmel London look amazing, not to mention nearly every review for them rave about how good they look.

Until next time my lovelies!

Weekend Clearout!

Hello again my lovelies. This weekend I have been really busy in my bedroom (not like that you filthy minx). I decided that after living in a house full of stuff everywhere, literally there is something against every wall, it's time to sort it out! Being 4 months pregnant though it takes a lot out of me to do heavy lifting so I decided to do it a bit at a time! So I thought I would start with my bedroom since we would soon have a little one sleep in there.

I managed to throw away a lot of old jewellery that had gone discoloured and a lot of make up that is older than Keira (not really ha)! I also sorted out my wardrobe, since I have added quite a few new items that would be good for my ever growing belly I thought it would be good to get rid of some of the older clothes that I can't remember the last time I wore! Turns out I'm very attached to my clothes as I didnt throw many away but to be honest I didn't exactly go through it with a fine tooth comb! Which means another sort out might happen in my wardrobe!

^the small pile of stuff I've got rid of so far^

I sorted out all of bubba's bits into the storage draws I created under the cot, might as well use the space ey? In one box I put all blankets and some sheets that I have and have washed. In another, the beginnings of bubba's wardrobe and in the last one I have filled it with wipes, lotions, maternity pads and general stuff that will live in the bathroom once I have picked up some storage for the bathroom!

I'm going to be doing the rest of the house bit by bit and making it a 'clutter free' zone! At least until bubba arrives and we find ourselves completely surrounded again! Ha ha. Sorry it wasn't too interesting today but hey, it's Spring cleaning time after all!

Until next time my lovelies!

3 Years!

Hello my lovelies!

Yesterday me and my partner, Daryl, celebrated being together for 3 years. I must admit it seems to have gone by so quickly considering what we have managed to achieve in those 3 years. So I thought I'd make a little post about all the achievements/ things we have done that have made it so lovely! (Not in any particular order).

  • I introduced Daryl to my daughter, Keira, when she was 20 months old and he has been a solid part of her life ever since. Keira was always a shy child but she took to Daryl like she had known him for ever, which made me a little tearful to be honest :').
  • We moved into our first flat together. He moved quite a while away from his family and friends so I could stay close to mine which I have always been grateful for.
  • We got engaged! It wasn't the most romantic setting but the complete surprise of him 'popping the question' was enough to put a smile across my face.
  • We moved into a bigger house, which was lovely. It was huge! I could still happily be there now however we moved again!
  • We moved for a third time when we were offered a flat owned by the Housing Association which meant the rent was SO much cheaper, so we took it and named it Castle Clarke.
  • We celebrated Keira's 2nd, 3rd and 4th birthday together as a family. I've enjoyed being able to give her a proper family unit where everyone is happy.
  • I met Daryl's family and they instantly accepted me and Keira like we were one of their own. It was lovely and a big of a shock (considering how we were treated by other families, not going into details about that).
  • We took our first trip to the seaside with my parents. It was an amazing day. Keira wouldn't stop smiling and I finally got to walk along the beach holding hands with my partner (cute romantic film moment, achieved!).
  • Daryl managed to start his own business! I'm extremely proud of him for working so hard and going after what he wanted to do.
And those are just a few of the main things that have happened over the last 3 years. (Not mentioning the fact we are expecting a little one at the end of this year). I hope to have many more happy memories with him and our little family.

^from just after I introduced Keira^

Until next time my lovelies.

NOTD - Luxe Lavender

Hello my lovelies! What a nice weekend we had down here in the South-East! It was nice to see the sun come out for longer than 30 seconds!

Todays post is going to be a Nails of the Day! I chose to do my nails in a beautiful pastel lilac in honor of the Spring weather! I used Avon nailwear pro in shade Luxe Lavender and covered it in a top coat, just for that extra bit of 'chipping defense'!

Excuse my poor photography skills :)

Until next time my lovelies.

Small Baby Haul + A Gift!

Hello there beautiful people. I have been doing a little bit of baby shopping over the Easter holiday so I thought I would tell you what I've got!

Baby Bath- £6.99 - Pick and Save (local bargain shop)
Set of 3 Baby Grows- £6.00 - Primark
Bath Thermometer- £1.00- Poundland
Set of 2 Bottles- £1.00- Poundland (I got two sets of these)

My partner also bought this beautiful little hedgehog toy. He got it off of Ebay for £4.34, free p+p.
Here is the link for the hedgehog toy. My brother-in-law thinks that it looks scary but I love it and Keira approves too! *giggle*

This week I also had lunch with my best friend, we have been friends since we were in Year 6? at school, were both now 21 and not fed up with each other yet! Anyway, when she came over for lunch she brought me a lovely present, knowing my LOVE for LUSH items she gave me this beauty.

The box contains Think Pink (left), which is described as: Lavender, tonka and vanilla for sophisticated pinkness. Also Pop In The Bath (right), described as: The pert, perky, citrus grove one. I must say they both smell amazing and cannot wait to use them! For now though they can make my bathroom smell AMAZING. :D.

Thanks for reading. Until next time my lovelies!

Announcement

I know I haven't updated my blog in a couple of months but I have a good excuse, promise ;)

Back in January me and my partner found out that we are expecting a baby! Yes, thats right another person coming to join us here in Castle Clarke. We are really excited and can't wait to find out what sex we are having. Keira is thrilled to have a little sibling joining the family soon, although 9 months is a long time to wait when you're 4. I'm currently 14 weeks which gives me a due date of around the 5th October 2013. Yes, that does mean I have a scan picture already ;)

I will admit that I have been struggling so far with this pregnancy, very tired all the time, feeling sick and generally hating the sight of food altogether. I have had a lot of support around me especially from Dr Keira who asks if I'm feeling ok 90% of the time. I'm hoping now that I've passed the 'early stages' that I'll soon get some energy back and enjoy meals with my little family.
Hopefully I'll be back into writing my blog post soon, especially now the weather is getting better and I feel its time to come out of hibernation. I've got a whole maternity wardrobe waiting for me, unfortunately most of it is Spring/Summer stuff, so I should be doing some maternity OOTD's and writing posts about Spring/Summer activities which are easy on pregnant women when they have other children to entertain. Let's see how far I get!

Until next time my lovelies,

Kiss, kiss. Mumma Bubs.
